VW Transporter T6.1 Folding Mirrors Upgrade

Supply & Installation of Genuine VW Transporter T6.1 Folding Mirrors. This retrofit uses all Genuine VW parts with no aftermarket boxes or relays (commonly found online) to make the mirrors fold in and out.

This can be especially helpful in environments where parking spaces are tight or when you’re parking in an area where mirrors could be vulnerable to damage.

It is also a useful visual cue to reassure you that your vehcile is locked when the wing mirrors are folded in, for peace of mind.

We will supply and install the genuine folding mirror bases, the new window motor mechanisms, the new door switch and the relevant wiring to allow your mirrors to open and close.

The software in the new window motor mechanisms is integrated into the new door modules, enabling them to work together and control the wing mirrors folding on demand.

You have the option to open and close your mirrors using the new drivers door side switch or you can select the “Fold on lock” option now available in the vans head unit settings to allow the mirrors to fold and unfold when locking and unlocking the vehicle.

As this upgrade is all genuine VW parts, this installation retains factory features such as heated mirrors.

As part of the installation process, we will re-use your existing painted mirror caps and mirror glass.
