These are the latest generation of R-Series speakers: engineered to deliver high bass power while maintaining extreme sound clarity. The R-Series speakers include both component Door Speakers and Tweeters, both of which are highly efficient and provide good installability in a wide range of vehicles.

Currently, we are installing a lot of these into the VW Transporter and Mercedes Vito front doors due to how well they install and integrate the tweeters into their factory positions for that true OEM look.

The Alpine R-Series Sound Components
The R-Series line-up is “The Loudest Family on the Block”. The products are designed to be played loud, delivering a fun and exciting listening experience and are known for dependable performance and high-quality sound. All R-Series components are developed to perfectly match each other.

HAMR Surround
The High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround allows a maximum, linear cone excursion for high SPL while maintaining full control over the diaphragm at any excursion stage for high sound clarity.

Re-Engineered For the Highest Performance
More power: the 2nd generation of R-Series speakers include many improvements over the 1st generation, such as the increased voice coil diameter from 30 to 35mm, while the Neodymium magnet diameter was also enlarged. This results in a stronger motor structure with a more powerful bass output.

CFRP Cone
CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) is a very lightweight yet rigid material. On a standard, off-the-shelf speaker cone, the edges are naturally weaker than the centre due to the elongated shape. Since the CFRP material is directional, it can be manipulated during the moulding process to strengthen the areas of the cone that are normally weak. The result is rigidity throughout the cone that delivers accurate and efficient performance.

Hi-Res Audio Tweeters
The 2nd generation R-Series tweeters feature Hi-Res Audio capabilities with a frequency response of higher than 40kHz. The tweeter cones are constructed by CFRP, allowing them to reproduce very high frequencies of over 40kHz while maintaining an overall soft and smooth tonal balance of a soft dome tweeter.

Outstanding Clarity
The new voice coil is made of Aluminium, compared to regular copper wire coils. Alpine increased the voice-coil diameter from 30mm to 35mm in the 2nd generation R-Series: the benefit is higher clarity, especially in the mid-high frequency area and more powerful bass reproduction.

Wave Guide Focuses the Sound
Alpine has developed a Wave Guide for the cone to further improve sound quality. Moulded into the speaker cone, it prevents phase distortion of the sound waves from the diaphragm and focuses the sound for optimum clarity.

Included Mesh Grill
There is a metal mesh grill included to protect the woofer in open installations.

Easy Install Network
The external network is very compact and easy to install. Simply slide open the cover to gain access to the tweeter level adjustment (+3dB / 0dB / -3dB). This ensures a perfect balance between the woofer and the tweeter levels in your car.

Swivel Tweeter
Both component and coaxial models feature a ring tweeter that swivels to improve off-axis response in less-than-ideal locations. You can aim it by hand for the best imaging and staging at your listening position. The component type tweeter can be installed in flush-mount or on-dash configuration – all installation adapters are included.
